Become a Member

 

To become a member of the affiliate, and enjoy all perks of membership, folks must first be an active member of the ACNM national organization. Membership to the ACNM national organization comes with many benefits, such as access to the scholarly publication, “Journal of Midwifery & Women’s Health,” midwifery job postings, and profound discussions and debates on the internal communication network – ACNM Connect.

Once an active member of the ACNM national organization, individuals can opt to additionally be a member of the Washington affiliate.

It is free to participate in affiliate meetings, and all are welcome to participate in special events, such as the annual Miles for Midwives 5K or curated seminars. However, only members can vote on agenda items, serve on the Board of Directors, or be Committee Chairs. If you are interested in becoming a leader in your midwifery community, being a positive force in change, or be more involved in general – becoming a member is an excellent choice for you!​

Affiliate fees are always waived for student and retired midwives (passed motion in 2019, added to bylaws).
